A whole bunch of top level domains for photographers (TLD) have recently been released to the public and there are many that us photogs might be interested in. A TLD is the web address after the dot, like .com, or .net. Many people missed out getting their photography company or name registered with the .com TLD and now is your chance to scoop up one or two good ones.
Some of the new TLD’s of interest are .guru, .pro,
.xxx, .camera, .lighting, .photography, .photos, .photo and .pics. There are many more available, with some others being released soon, but these are the ones I think Photogs would be interested in.
I registered a few including billsphoto.tips, digitalphoto.academy, billfowle.photography and bills.photos. Watch for some of these to come online shortly. I registered my Domains at Hover, a reputable domain registrar who offers some things like Whois privacy and transfer lock for free. If you use this link to Hover, both you and I will receive a $2 credit towards our next purchase.
So tell us how you used the new top level domains for photographers. Chime in on the comments
